Everyone else did one, my turn.............
I started by shaving off the 1500 emblem off the sides...
The frame HAD to be cut..........so let's see that....

So now the wheel delema. What do I mean? Well most tow-trucks have duallies in the back, and well........I don't have any........ So I guess to to make my own.....
The first thing I did was take the wheels and wheel backings out of the stock Silverado tires....
After that I went and looked in my wheel/tire bin and found, what looks like, the same size tire as the Silverado tires........
And here are the wheels and tires in all......

If you didn't notice, in the picture above, I included the wheels I'm using for the finished project (they are the ones at the bottom).... So here is a close up of them....

Here is the way I did the wheels:
I took the wheel backings from the Silverado and used them on 4 wheels, for the rear wheels I stuck two wheels together and it looks like this....

Then I put the duallies on the stock rear Silverao backend (axle).... and go this....
But here is the problem.....

So, that didn't work... So I looked in my parts box because I though I might have something that might work..... after a while of looking I found it....
To get it to few EXACTY the way I wanted I had to cut some stuff....

Thanks. And I have never heard of any website like that so it must not be the same one... Unless someone has decided to post my stuff over there. LOL.
I just really haven't been into model lately... Kind of personal reasons really.. (The last post I made with the "Have a great new year because mine is going to suck!" or something like that was supposed to be the hint I believe...)
Thanks again for looking!
God bless. | |
